Declan Drysdale began his career with Tranmere Rovers, making his debut for the club on 24 April 2017 in a National League match against Maidstone United. After a few seasons with Tranmere Rovers, Drysdale completed a transfer to League One side Coventry City on 4 January 2019. He spent three-and-a-half seasons with Coventry City but only made a handful of first-team appearances. Drysdale has since moved to Newport County, with an undisclosed deal agreed with Coventry City for his transfer. He joined Newport County on July 1, 2022, with his contract set to expire on June 30, 2024.
